I’m Mici Gaal from Budapest, Hungary. I love capturing people in everyday moments. My hilarious kids and husband keep me inspired (and laughing). I embrace textures, imperfect lines, and happy accidents, working with mixed media like charcoal, crayons, oil pastels, ink, and acrylic paint—collaging everything together digitally or by hand.
In 2018, I studied with Kinga Rofusz at the Corvin Art School. Kinga’s mentorship helped me refine my artistic voice. In 2021, I completed the Image Pro course at MOME (Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design), deepening my understanding of visual storytelling.
Since then, I’ve created illustrations for animated music videos, album covers, and a children’s magazine. In November 2024, my first children’s book, where I am both author and illustrator, was published by Csimota. I was also shortlisted for the 2024 World Illustration Awards in the Book Cover category.
